What is Botox® used for?

What Is Botox®?
Botox® is an injectable treatment for the treatment of wrinkles in the forehead, Crow's feet, and the Glabella. Botulinum toxin, a neuromodulator, is used in the Botox® composition. When injected into the forehead, this solution relaxes the muscles that cause wrinkles by contracting and contracting. As a result, the appearance of wrinkles in the forehead will be reduced, giving you a more youthful appearance. It's a short five-minute technique that requires no downtime and can simply be completed during lunch.
Frequently Asked Questions
Most people find the injections almost painless, so a local anesthetic is not normally needed. If concerned however, you can request an anesthetic (numbing) cream prior to treatment.
Although the results are visible, a treatment with BOTOX® Cosmetic will not radically change your facial appearance or make you appear as if you’ve “had work done.” Our trained providers will work with your goals to ensure a natural, youthful appearance.
BOTOX® Cosmetic® can take seven to ten days for treatment to set in, and visible results have been shown to last up to four months. Personal results will vary, so speak with your healthcare provider about what to expect and when to schedule your next appointment. Length of results are approximately 4 months.
